Wikipedia joins OpenStreetMap
MediaWiki developers are working on integrating OpenStreetMap (Osm) (la versione libera di Google Maps) with Wikipedia and all other their projects. A fundamental step for development of both communities, that can free users from dependency from proprietary geodata, now almost an exclusive property of TeleAtlas. We hope that public administrations will become sensible and that will give their data to the free platform. Otherwise lets ask for a law that will oblige them to release geodata in the public domain. Read more »
YouMap. Young urban cartographies. Community website
We have designed the information architecture and the interface of an online community on collaborative cartography, that permits to young people from all Europe to edit contents and organize them geographically on interactive maps.
The project has been ideated by Lunaria and funded with support from the European Commission (Youth in action program). Read more »
Oryx XForms Editor, a web-based tool for creating XForms
On W3C’s XForms mailing list, Jan-Felix Schwarz has announced the Oryx XForms Editor, a web-based tool for creating XForms. You can visually edit forms, export and import them in XForms format. The editor runs in your web browser (Firefox), zero software installation required. The editor is still in an early stage and is currently available for testing and feedback. Read more »
