Free software value in Italy
Angelo Raffaele Meo writes that an approximate esteem of proprietary software licenses (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office etc.) in Italy, based on data from Assinform annual report is about 3 billions euros for each year.
Public administration represents almost 10% of the market, equivalent to a cost of almost 300 millions euros. A cost that would become a saving of public money if the government would choose free software.

Locked webfonts

Microsoft has submitted Embedded OpenType (Eot) to W3C and a slimy campaign for Eot has been launched.
